Apple Cider Vinegar is an amazing supplement that should be stocked in every pantry as it aids in weight loss, boosts energy, and improves immunity, just to name a few points.
Apple cider vinegar is probiotic because of what’s called “the mother.” This is made up of protein chains that make the liquid cloudy. It’s a combination of yeast and bacteria formed during fermentation.
A closer look at an apple cider vinegar bottle, you can see strands of the “mother” floating around.
It can be filtered or unfiltered, and while many people attribute its benefits to the mother, studies have not proven this claim.
Whether or not ACV has a “mother” in it would not affect your health in any way.
In the past, people drank apple cider vinegar to stay healthy or lose weight because of its acidic properties.
One of the most common ways to use apple cider vinegar is by ingesting it. Other options include rinsing your hair with it after shampooing, washing your face with it before bed, swishing in the mouth to whiten teeth, and the list goes on and on.

Today, however, we’re drinking it!
Apple cider vinegar is pretty harsh so let’s mix it with some warm water and other yummy ingredients.
Sure, you could just drink straight from the bottle, but that would be a nasty way to start your day. It’s much more enjoyable to make our detox tea first thing in the morning.
We’re going to be adding a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, Lemon Juice some honey for sweetness, and then we’ll top it off with boiling water.
If you have any other favorite ingredients, feel free to add them in as well! We’ve been using cinnamon stick or powder, fresh ginger, and some cayenne pepper for some spice!
We like to drink ours on an empty stomach in the morning, and then eat something light for breakfast. It’s a great way to start your day with energy instead of lethargy! You’ll have more energy throughout the day too!
Sometimes I even skip my Bulletproof Coffee in the morning and go with the detox tea instead. Check out the recipe below and give it a shot!
Apple Cider Vinegar Detox Tea Deliciousness
Ingredients
- 1 cup Water
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- ¼ tbsp Ground Cinnamon
- ½ tbsp Ground ginger
- 1 dash Cayenne pepper optional
- ½ tbsp Honey or Stevia optional
Instructions
- Boil water
- Mix all the ingredients together
- Filter the mixture into your favorite mug. Enjoy!
